A week after Billie Eilish joined Justin Bieber on stage during his nostalgic “One Less Lonely Girl” Coachella performance, Hailey Bieber detailed how she was the mastermind behind the viral moment.
There’s gonna be one less lonely girl—Hailey Bieber will make sure of it.
A week after Billie Eilish joined Justin Bieber on stage for his “One Less Lonely Girl” performance at Coachella, the Rhode founder revealed it was her plan all along.
“It was incredible,” Hailey told Time at the Time100 Gala in New York April 23. “We love Billie so much. We adore her, couldn’t love her more. I just thought it would be so full circle to have that happen since they met for the first time at Coachella.”
Indeed, Billie—who has been a vocal Belieber for most of her life—first crossed paths with Justin in the crowd of Ariana Grande’s set at Coachella in 2019, where the “Bad Guy” singer fell to the ground in awe.
And so, Hailey admitted had been thinking of Billie joining Justin on stage for his nostalgic set “for months,” but she kept it a secret from the Oscar winner.
“I thought it would be a really fun idea so to see it come to life and to see it happen,” Hailey mused. “Obviously, we told her in the moment and she is the best sport and the best woman.”
The 29-year-old emphasized, “I couldn’t love her more, truly.”
Meanwhile, Billie couldn’t have loved the moment more. The 24-year-old shared her reaction on Instagram, alongside several throwback videos and photos of her showing off her fandom for Justin.
In one image from Billie’s April 23 post, she proved she knew the absolute most about Justin, writing down his exact time of birth, the hospital and room where he was born and even the doctor who delivered him. In another, she included a screenshot of a birthday message she wrote to Justin in 2014.
“Today, the best singer and the best person in the world was born,” Billie wrote. “Now words can explain how much I love you. If only you knew I existed. I have always been a Belieber and I always will be.”
Hailey might have orchestrated one of the best Coachella moments, but it wasn’t the only one to see. Keep reading for every star who stepped out…
